Paragliding

Sangti and Dirang valleys, West KamengMar – May, Oct – Nov

Paragliding here is small-scale and seasonal. The Sangti and Dirang valleys in West Kameng have the right shape for it — broad, south-facing slopes that heat up through the morning and a valley floor soft enough for beginners to land on. Tandem flights with a certified pilot run 15 to 30 minutes depending on the lift, launching from around 8,000 feet with the Dirang river and the terraced fields below you.

Flying depends entirely on the weather: still mornings and settled afternoons in the spring and autumn windows, nothing in the monsoon. Because the operation is weather-dependent and the pilot pool is small, we treat it as a bonus to build into a West Kameng itinerary rather than a fixed booking — if conditions are good while you are in the area, we make it happen.
